So Clinton sat on the board of Wal-Mart between 1986 and 1992, according to the NY Sun.  It makes sense, as they are from Arkansas, home state of Wal-Mart.

While it is an interesting point, I think that article is trash journalism. They are going the hyperbolic route of refusing to take a $5000 donation with "betraying Wal-Mart."

I think the author is also way overboard in his generalizations and portraying anti Wal-Mart people as effete liberal snobs.

That being said, I am not a fan of Wal-Mart personally. Just because a store offers very good prices to low income people doesn't make it "good." Sweatshops and slave labor can also result in low prices for the everyman. Somehow I don't think people are going to sign up for that.

As to what I suppose is the alleged "flip flop" I do not find that particularly troubling. What one does in private business practice (such as the case of HRC back in the late 80s) is not necessarily the same as what one chooses to do when they are acting as public stewards (such as HRC today as a Senator and presidential hopeful.)
